Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) launches new board of Directors and new website with massive improvement.

The Minister of industry trade and investment Hon. Charles Mwijage has officially launched Tanzania Investment Centre TIC new board of directors the event which coincided with the launch of the new revamped TIC website. The government’s primary agency -- responsible for the promotion and facilitation of investments in Tanzania -- launched the new website and board of Directors on Saturday. Hon. Mwijage said “the new TIC board is expected to assist TIC in attracting more investments especially in building industrial led economy. Hon. Mwijage also also urged TIC to report all the institutions that provides services to investors and entertain bureaucracy. The board which is comprised of eight members would be chaired by the Presidential appointee Prof. Longinus Rutasitara the Presidential advisor on economic affairs. Other members includes

. The team is comprised of members appointed by the mister from the private sector, the public sector and two other members. The board is mandated for the discharge of the functions of the Centre and to oversee the implementation of TIC activities and ensure that issues are executed and addressed accordingly. TIC Executive Director Mr. Geoffrey Mwambe has assured the board of highest level of cooperation and also institute measures to attract more strategic investments in the industrial sector which is the main agenda for the Tanzanias vision 2025. Speaking at the event the TIC Executive Director said, “The TIC new website will provide detailed information as TIC embraces a platform for all investment information including Investment opportunities, investment trend, investment facilitation and much more details. It is hoped that, the website, will transform the way TIC promotes investments and bolster business links and opportunities with Tanzanians and encourage more FDI.
